Eyjafjallajokull eruption

To all,

So Eyjafjallajokull voclano erupted explosively on April 14th 2010, and continues to produce a volcanic ash cloud that is affecting major parts of Europe.

As i write this, I am currently waiting to see if my flight back to Alaska via Seattle is due to fly tomorrow. I'm sat in London and awaiting news....

Cheers

Peter

Peter Webley joins WOVO leadership

We are delighted to announce that Dr Peter Webley, Alaska Volcano Observatory (Fairbanks) (http://www.avo.alaska.edu/about/staff.php?dirid=140 ) is joining the WOVO leadership team. Peter will be taking WOVO responsibility for the Americas from Glen, and of course assisting in the general leadership of WOVO.

We would like to thank Glen for all of his work over the past few years, and wish him well for his further work in the Region without the WOVO burden!
